Until outrun comes to the app store, this will be king
Wow. The screenshots dont capture the wicked sense of speed in this game. Playing the Outrun soundtrack in game added more to the nostalgia. Maybe Power Drift or Afterburner next?
Great game, makes me want play the first one too. Get it.
Awesome, awesome racer. Smooth as butter with great hand-pixelled graphics. Perfect controls.
Thats the best kind of awesome.
Love it. Its smooth controls great and has a great sense of speed.
Love the first one. This just takes it a whole lot more. Amazing!
Even though youll likely "beat" the game on the first attempt, the game is so quick and addicting youll find yourself racing through the whole game a thousand more times trying to best your score. This is a perfect example of what mobile gaming should be.
This game brings the feeling of arcade racers to the iPhone. A pitch-perfect encapsulation of the kind of game you would spend hours feeding quarters into. Very slick and polished clean graphics and cool little touches. A good variety of controls and options - including tilt, a virtual steering wheel, or my favorite- touching left and right on the edges of the screen.
Classic arcade racer on iOS that plays ultra smooth, fast and great fun. I loved the original but this sequel takes a winning formula and fleshes it out beautifully. This is my go-to racer, best buck Ive spent in a long time. Reminds me of the glory days of video games. Cant stop playing it!
Not only better than its predecessor, final freeway, it is better than outrun itself.
Perfectly captures the spirit and feel of 80s arcade racers. No bothersome realistic physics here -- just pure pedal-to-the-metal fun. My arms got tired of holding the iPad after a while, but really thats just a sign of how hard it is put this game down. Note that Final Freeway 2R does support Game Center leaderboards and achievements, though this wasnt obvious to me at first.
... the guy in the white car is REALLY annoying. He serves no purpose but to crash into you and slow you down. You can be going 170+ mph and he just plows through you -- its cheap in every sense of the word.
Great game and even more exciting if you were to use the gyro controls but if you were to go with the driving wheel controls it is not as sensitive as you would like. Causing unintentional crashes and somewhat difficult passbys
This is the first game I have ever written a review for. I was looking for an Outrun-type game for iOS and happened to stumble upon this. Boy am I satisfied. The retro pixel art is beautifully spot on and the fact that you can use your own music makes it that much cooler.
This game had terrible graphs to start off with. Most of the time you could only drive and stop. It was hard to steer with the car. I would totally not recommend this game to people.
The first Final Freeway was pretty good, but this one is better in every way - better graphics, better gameplay, better soundtrack. It really nails that classic OutRun gameplay. Instant buy for me!
Excellent old school racer. Really captures the feel of games like Outrun and adds some nice modern touches to make it interesting. Heres hoping the developer tackles Afterburner next!
What a pleasure to just start the engines and drive a way! Excellent retro play, controls, and music.
